Kiteboarding
is one of the fastest growing new water sports. Kiteboarding is the infusion
of multiple other sports such as kiteflying, wakeboarding, and windsurfing.
This fascinating combination realizes mans eternal dream of flying. Specially
designed large power kites propel their pilots across the water on kite
boards. With Kiteboarding, it is possible to get insane air! Experienced
pilots are getting 20 to 40 feet of air and performing amazing aerials.
Kiteboarding can also be a year-round sport. In summer, you can enjoy
flight off waves or flat water and in the winter, you can carve through
the snow. Kiteboarding is easy to learn and loads of fun, take yourself
to the limits!

TRAINER INTRO
TRAINER KITE AND INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO, OR DVD, AND VCR
OR DVD PLAYER/MONITOR CAN BE RENTED TOGETHER FOR $95/ DAY (WITH 1
HR KITE INSTRUCTION). THIS WILL GREATLY INCREASE THE SPEED AT
WHICH WE CAN MOVE THROUGH THE GROUND WORK SECTION OF YOUR KITEBOARDING
/ KITESURFING LESSON AND WILL ALLOW FOR MORE TIME ON THE WATER.
- KITE SURFING
LEVEL A
A KITEBOARDING / KITESURFING LESSON PACKAGE RUNS 3-3.5
HRS. AND COSTS $225. A WAVERUNNER SUPPORT VESSEL WILL BE USED
FOR SAFETY AND CONVENIENCE IN THIS CLASS. AFTER TAKING THIS
LESSON A STUDENTS WILL UNDERSTAND HOW TO SAFELY LAUNCH, LAND, AND
FLY THE KITE. POWER STROKE, AND THE BODY DRAG FINISH UP THIS
LESSON. MOST STUDENTS REQUIRE A SECOND LESSON TO GET THE WATER-START
DOWN AND BEGIN KITEBOARDING. AT WHICH TIME THE STUDENT SHOULD
BE READY TO BUY GEAR AND START SHREDDING. FEEL FREE TO READ
OVER OUR PASA APPROVED LESSON PLAN.

SOME STUDENTS PREFER TO PROGRESS FASTER, AND
ADVANCED LESSONS WILL ARE WELL WORTH THE ADDED INVESTMENT. BEYOND
KITE ISSUES THE NEXT THING TO LEARN IN KITEBOARDING / KITESURFING
IS STAYING UP WIND. HAVING AN INSTRUCTOR BY YOUR SIDE TO HELP
FINE TUNE RELAUCH TECHNIQUE, ETC. CAN SAVE A LOT OF TIME AND FRUSTRATION,
BUT GETTING A RIDE BACK INSTEAD OF TAKING THE "WALK OF SHAME"
BACK UPWIND OFTEN SAVES 1-2 HOURS OF WALKING THROUGH THE BAY TRYING
TO MANAGE ALL YOUR GEAR. BESIDES STAYING UPWIND ADVANCED
LESSONS ALSO COVER THE JIBE AND SWITCH, SWITCH AND JIBE, RIDING TOE-SIDE,
WAVE RIDING, AND JUMPING. ADVANCED LESSONS ARE CUSTOM DESIGNED
SO YOU ARE FOCUSING ON AREAS OF YOUR CHOICE. COST IS $90/ HR.
- KITE SURFING
WORKSHOPS
GROUP LESSONS AND CLINICS ARE AVAILABLE. GROUP
LESSONS COVER THE SAME MATERIAL AS LEVEL 1 WITH A MAXIMUM OF 3 PEOPLE.
THE SECOND AND THIRD PERSONS ARE HALF PRICE ($112.50). CLINICS
WILL COVER THEORY AND TRAINER KITE ONLY, AND ARE LIMITED TO 15 PERSONS.
PRICE IS $20 A HEAD FOR 1-5 PERSONS, $15 A HEAD FOR 6-9 PERSONS, AND
$10 A HEAD FOR GROUP OF 10-15.
